New Funding for Open Access Publications through the Library

We are pleased to inform you that Section 5.1 Library and Information Services (LIS) has been successful in acquiring funding to support Open Access publications for the period 2022-2024 as part of the DFG funding program "Open Access Publikationskosten".

The DFG-funded OA budget enables LIS to support GFZ scientists in bearing publication costs in genuine Open Access journals (Gold OA) with up to 1300 € per article. For publication costs exceeding this amount, the difference still has to be covered from section funds.

Open Access publication fees that can be financed from third-party funds are, as before, excluded from support by the OA budget.
