The institute's library is located on the Telegrafenberg in building A45S, room 201.

Focus

The library is the institution in charge on library topics for all AWI scientists. The focus lies on monographs and maps to periglacial research and permafrost of Sibiria as well as on physics and chemistry of the atmosphere. The stock includes about 5.500 volumes (nearly 3.500 monographs and 2.000 journal volumes), 1.500 offprints and about 200 maps.

Furthermore the library contains archival material on GDR's Antarctic research until 1989.
