Open Access Dashboard for GFZ

The library, in collaboration with the eScience Centre, has developed an Open Access Dashboard that is now available for everyone. The dashboard is based on GFZpublic (https://gfzpublic.gfz.de/).

The dashboard provides an overview of the Open Access quota of all GFZ publications, a breakdown of Open Access types (Gold, Green, Hybrid, Diamond, Bronze), by publishers, and by costs (APC) for Gold Open Access publications. The dashboard makes the progress of the Open Access transformation at GFZ transparent by highlighting, for example, the following:

• How has the quota of Open Access publications changed over the years?

• Which publishers do researchers choose most frequently, and which Open Access model do they use?

• How much is spent on article processing charges (APC)?
