Content of the on-line material provided
The German Research Centre for Geosciences does not guarantee for the topicality, accuracy, completeness or quality of the provided material. Claims to liability against the German Research Centre for Geosciences related to damages either material or non-material, through the use or non-use of the provided information or due to the use of incorrect or incomplete material are explicitly ruled out in so far that there is no evidence of intentional or gross negligence on the part of the German Research Centre for Geosciences. The German Research Centre for Geosciences explicitly declares that at the time of linking the linked pages are free of all illegal content. The German Research Centre for Geosciences has no influence on the up-dated and future design and content of the linked pages. Therefore, the German Research Centre for Geosciences explicitly dissociates itself from any modified or altered content of the linked pages. For illegal, faulty or incomplete contents and especially for damages through the use or non-use of the available information the provider of the page referred to is alone liable and not the supplier providing the link.

The German Research Centre for Geosciences endeavours to observe the copyright of the used graphics, recordings, video sequences and texts in all of its publications. The proprietary rights for published copyrighted material remains in the possession of the copyright holder (German Research Centre for Geosciences or a third party). All labels and trademarks, including those possibly copyrighted by a third party mentioned within the provided material are subject without exception to the conditions of the respectively valid trademarks and ownership rights of the respective registered owner. It cannot be concluded on the basis of the mere naming that trademarks are not protected by a third party.

Liability notice

GFZ controls and updates the available information on the GFZ websites at regular intervals. Despite all care, information, data or links may have changed in the meantime. Therefore GFZ is not liable or does not guarantee for the currentness, accuracy and completeness of the information provided. The same applies to all other websites, which are referred to by hyperlink. GFZ shall not be responsible for the content of the websites that are reached as a result of such a connection. Instead the relevant provider is always responsible for the contents of the linked pages. In establishing the initial link, GFZ has reviewed the relevant external content in order to determine that they were free of illegal content at the time of linking. If you detect errors in content or technology, please let us know.

Alternative Dispute Resolution in Consumer Contracts

According to the law on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Consumer Contracts (VSBG), a trader who maintains a website or uses general terms and conditions is obliged to notify consumers of the extent to which he is willing or obliged to participate in dispute settlement proceedings before a consumer’s dispute resolution body. The European Commission provides an online platform for dispute resolution (OS) under the external link https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/main/index.cfm?event=main.home.chooseLanguage . The platform serves as a point of contact for the out-of-court settlement of disputes with regard to contractual obligations arising from online purchase contracts. The GFZ is not obligated to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a dispute resolution body and, furthermore, does not offer participation.
